Ruritan car show
The Waverly Ruritan Club hosted its first car show Saturday, June 17, 2023 as a fundraiser to help raise funds to support our youth baseball program. Over 50 cars, ranging in model years from the 1920s to the present, were on display for viewing. It was a great time of fun and fellowship for car owners, spectators, and club members. People’s choice judging was conducted by everyone who entered a car into the show, with the results being as follows.

1st Place: Jerry Milolner- 1969 Mustang
2nd Place: Kenny Howell- 1960 Corvette
Class B- Modified up to 1969
1st Place: Justin Cochrane- 1940 Ford Coupe
2nd Place: Ronnie Goodrich- 1934 Plymouth Coupe
Class C- Original 1970 & up
1st Place: Robbie Smith- 1970 Mustang
2nd Place: Diane Howell- 1972 Corvette
Class D- Modified 1970 & up

2nd Place: Tom Cahoon- 1994 Ford Ranger

An extra fun and special part of the event was a pin up contest, with about 15 women participating dressed in attire reflective of the 1950s and 1960s. The winner of the pin up contest and Queen of the Car Show was Dora Jennings. We would like to thank all donors, contributors, and those who lent their talents to help make the event a success.
